Meet the Minister

Hello Newcomers, Brothers and Sisters,

My name is Daniel Welker and I have been serving as the Minister for the past year, since moving to Utah from Alabama with my wife, Jen.

I like to say I am a third-generation preacher as my grandfather was a missionary and evangelist, and my father was both an elder and a preacher. Ministry is something I have always felt called to, and my number one reason for stepping into God's work is to help people navigate through their journey towards heaven.

I cherish the opportunity to walk alongside others during life's most meaningful moments, whether that's welcoming a new child, celebrating a bond of marriage, or offering comfort during loss. One of my favorite parts of ministry is getting to meet new people and getting to know members and their faith through our bible studies. Visit the 'Sign Up Here' button in this section or fill out the form at the bottom of the page to learn more.

When I am not sharing God's message or working with members of our fellowship, I enjoy bowling, fishing, Auburn Alabama Football (War Eagle!!), and my favorite after church activities are spending time with my dogs or people-watching.

If you're new here, or just visiting, I'd love to meet you!

Feel free to come say hello, I'm always happy to talk about the church, answer questions, or just get to know you better!

Why we love our church:

Church Members' Testimonials:

" Worshipping at Wasatch Church of Christ has been a true blessing in my life. The teaching is always grounded in scripture, and the minister's messages challenge and inspire me to grow in my faith.
I appreciate the constant warmth and sincerity of our congregation - it feels like a real family. Being part of the church draws me closer to God every week.
I especially love our monthly potluck fellowship meals, sure to fill your soul as much as they fill your belly."

" At Wasatch, I've found a place where truth is preached, love is shared, and God is glorified. The minister, Daniel, always brings thoughtful, Bible-based sermons that give me something meaningful to reflect on. The strength of our fellowship make this church feel like a home. I'm grateful to be a part of a community that seeks to live out God's word every day. "

- Angel Perry

Hebrews 4:12

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Micah 6:8

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

Hebrews 10:24-25

"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
